What to do when your Android Phone Lost?
Now, you can erase all the data in lost Android phone, You can even call,locate and lock your phone remotely from linked gmail account. Check below steps to find your lost android phone.
Pre-Requites :
- You should know gmail account details, which is connected to android phone.
- Location services should be on in phone.
- Phone should be auto sync with gmail account.
Steps:
Log-in to gmail account through any of the browser in Laptop/Tablet. Click on 9 dots menu in top right corner of gmail account.
Click on "My Account" option as below
It will open another window in new tab, you will see an option as "Find Your Phone". Click on that for more info.
You will see another window for the selection of mobile you are using. Click on the model you are using.
After selecting you will get the options to do actions you need. as shown below.
In the same page you can find more options to do, as shown below.
By clicking the above options you will see the new page as pictured below.
To ring your lost phone click on "Ring".
You will see the new dialogue box showing to ring or cancel
You are directed to ring the lost android phone.
If you want to lock your mobile phone from the gmail account to not to access by any one else. Click the "Lock".
Then you will be initiated to another dialogue box as shown below. In that you can enter password, You can even send message which will popup on your lost phone, Even you can give your alternate number to contact you. If you are lucky you can get your phone back as details shown below
Then your phone will be locked and no one can access your phone rather than you.
You can select the erase option by clicking on "Erase" which will erase data in your lost android phone when connected to internet and that phone will be factory restored and deletes all data from phone.
You will get the option to select Erase or cancel.
